SMMC Members
What information do we collect?
When you sign up for Scottish Motorsport Marshals Club's services
(i.e to log into the members section of the website), you provide
us with contact information typically
including your name, address and phone number.
While you are an SMMC member, we manage information with
regard to your membership status, choice of services and membership
logs.
How do we use this information?
We use the contact information you provide us with to establish
our service for you. We create and maintain other information
such as membership account status, choice of membership discipline
(e.g marshal, rescue, radio) and customer logs in the normal
course of providing such a service.
SMMC may share customer information with selected partners/third
parties, for example, to provide you with information about
events that might be of interest to you or to enable you to
take advantage of special partner programs. SMMC may also
use membership information to provide members with system
information or information about new or upgraded services.
We will not otherwise disclose members personal or account
information unless we have reason to believe that disclosing
such information is necessary to identify, make contact with
or bring legal action against someone who may be causing harm
or interfering with the rights or property of SMMC Ltd, our
members, or others, or where SMMC has good belief that the law
requires
such disclosure.
Neither will SMMC, except for reasons stated below, disclose

electronic communications that SMMC stores or transmits for
its members. The circumstances under which SMMC will disclose
such electronic member communications are when:

to protect the legitimate interests of SMMC and its

warrants or other legal processes that SMMC determines in
its sole
discretion to be valid and enforceable; and

contents are inadvertently obtained by SMMC and appear to appertain
to the commission of a crime.
SMMC disclaims any intention
to censor, edit or engage in ongoing review or surveillance
of communications stored on or transmitted through its facilities
by members or others. SMMC will, however, review,
delete or block access to communications that may harm SMMC,
its
members or third parties. The grounds on which SMMC
may take such action include, but are not limited to, actual

potential violations of Scottish Motorsport Marshals
Club's Terms of Use.
Customers may opt out of receiving newsletters and/or
notices of new or upgraded products from SMMC by sending
a request
to privacy@SMMC.org.uk In this request, customers
must identify their user name and contact information.
Please note, however, that SMMC reserves the right
to send bulletins and other important information
